Video shooting

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Making a video is a lot of work. One wouldn’t believe, how much time is needed to make a 20 sec movie unless you try it for yourself… Yesterday, we made the videos. Each video is approximately 20 seconds long. And believe me, every second is hard work. Why? Because, we do not want to show the typical iPhone how to video that everybody can find on Youtube. The consequence is that even the simplest finger move becomes a matter of trying 15 to 20 times, before it looks good. At least according to our director, Paolo. He can be very demanding and being a hand model is not as simple as it seems. So, we spent around two hours for making eight videos… But the effort was worth it: you can check out the videos tomorrow on Youtube.

iSENDu design history – Part 2

Friday, August 28th, 2009

This video shows how we reacted to the changes that were requested by Apple. We changed almost everything: the radar beam, the way the radar beam scans the environment, the “iPhone” icons (which caused all the trouble), the position indicator, the background,… There where also some additional design studies, but in the end we settled for the design that you can see in the video below. It was a hell of a job, but Christian did some magic and the result is really amazing ;-) .

Actually, it is not the final version of the design, but very close to it. We tweaked the interface a bit more, but you’ll be able to check out iSENDu very soon when it becomes finally available in the iTunes App Store.

iSENDu – design history

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

When we started the development of iSENDu, we envisioned really something different. Our very first attempt was to share contacts. That’s it, no clipboard or images. Just a single contact.
In order to get an idea, how things would look like, we made this video to get an impression about the usability. It is our first video that we ever created for an application. You will notice a slightly different style in comparison with our promotion video :-) .

iSENDu submitted

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

We’ve submitted the new version of iSENDu to Apple for approval. Hopefully, this time there won’t be a “surprise” and we keep our fingers crossed, that iSENDu gets accepted.

We’ve worked for almost two weeks for the new version of iSENDu. As you see in the screenshots on our page, we changed the user interface completely by aligning it conceptually to the video. Remember the 3d effects, the virtual rooms? They are now part of the user interface. Yes! We have a plan, when we do things ;-) .

And we do not stop with this version of iSENDu. We plan a couple of new features for the first update. Things like sharing the data with more than one iSENDu peer at once will among the new features of the first update. We plan the release for late September, early October.

And that is not everything: ikangai’s first game is already in development. It’s a game about…. well, that’s a secret for now, but you will find out in the next weeks.

Our promotion video has been watched more than 1000 times on Youtube within two weeks! Wow! That is really amazing and we would like to thank you all for watching the video. We will start producing Howto videos later this week so that you have additional things to watch on Youtube soon :-) .
