Welcome to the Advanced Software Engineering (ASE) Page! Here you can find general information about the first ikangai university student collaboration project. The project with the codename Project Tokyo deals with the port of two ikangai apps (q·.:code and q·.:launcher) to the Android platform. The project is a joined effort of TU Vienna students which work for ikangai solutions and at the same time do the Advanced Software Engineering Lecture at TU Vienna.
The project also aims at producing scientific publications which will be the result of a collaboration with the Distributed Systems Group of TU Vienna and the CLIP group of UPM. The first paper was submitted to ICSE 2011. The paper discusses the application of SOA principles on mobile platforms. It shows how existing mobile infrastructures can be viewed from a SOA perspective and discusses how ikangai Apps like q·.:Card and q·.:Launcher are used in this context.
Another paper is has been submitted to WWW 2011. This paper investigates Twitter in the context of project communication and studies the coordination of software and human provided services communication with a common communication infrastructure. We illustrate we use empirical data that we obtain from the project.
